XP Service Pack 2 Users...
Some users might have problems viewing PDF files if they have Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed on their computer. This is because Adobe Acrobat Reader uses an ActiveX control to display PDF files within Internet Explorer, which now blocks such controls as a default. There are 3 options available if you are experiencing this problem to enable you to view the PDFs. 1. Unblock using Internet Explorer Information Bar: When content is blocked the Internet Explorer Information Bar will appear warning that it has been blocked. To allow blocked content click the Information Bar and choose "Allow Blocked Content" and click "Yes" in the security warning window. Add PTISecurities.com as a trusted website: By adding the PTI website as a trusted site all blocked content will be allowed. On the Internet Explorer menu bar click "Tools" and then "Internet Options...". When the new window opens go to the Security tab and click the Trusted Sites Icon. The security settings for Trusted sites should then be visible. Click the "Sites..." button and when the new window opens ensure that the "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" checkbox is not ticked. Enter "http://www.PTISecurities.com" into the text box and then click "Add". You can close all open windows and the blocked content should now be available. Download the PDF file to your computer: The other alternative method is to download the PDF file to your computer where you can then open the file outside Internet Explorer. All pages containing PDFs have a link at the bottom of the page allowing direct download, for example "You can download this PDF file at the following location: IndividualSecuritiesAccount.pdf". If you right-click the file name and choose "Save Target As..." you can then choose a convenient location to save the file on your computer.
